What is Recital?

Recital is a practice of disclosing information about a data breach to the public. It’s an industry standard practice that helps consumers understand what happened and how they can protect themselves from becoming a victim of identity theft or fraud. Recitals are usually found in privacy policies, but they can also be found on company websites, customer service emails, and even in the fine print of agreements you sign when you buy things online.
